Monkeying Around

Today was by far the most fun day of the entire year!  And not just for the students...I had a ball!  I loved the movie Chimpanzees.  I was so amazed at how the photographers were able to get so close to the chimpanzees.  They must have really earned their trust.  It bet it took a lot of perseverance!!
We are finished with Frederick Douglass.  What an incredible story of perseverance also.  He grew up in a way that none of us will ever understand, thankfully, and came out of it, willing to help others.  We learned about Thomas Edison, another great example of one who is not afraid of failure.
As we finish up these final SIX weeks, let's all finish strong.  Persevere!  Work hard!  Do your best!
Have a wonderful weekend.  It was fun playing ball at the park.  See you Monday...Mrs Cardinal
