BINGO!

Hi again!  I think I must have taken a week off from my blog but be looking for news daily again.  I appreciate those of you who came during conferences to check on your student's progress.  Success is a perfect triangle with the student, the parent/guardian and me as the vertices!  (You 5th graders BETTER know what a vertex is!!)  Speaking of, we are taking a couple days to do a cumulative review of everything your 5th grader should know at this point in math.  Monday we begin decimals!
We played BINGO today as we reviewed early Russia.  I hope it helped.  I know it was fun!  Be sure to study tonight for the test tomorrow.  I've explained what my students need to know:  vocabulary, maps and the leaders/czars and their goals/achievements.  If they were listening in class yesterday (of course they were!), they would have put a check mark by everything in their packet they should be prepared to answer questions on.
I have been a little easy on the homework arena because Science Fair is upon us.  The boards are due tomorrow and the actual, be there in person fair is March 1st.  I'm sure it's been a lesson in why you shouldn't wait until the eleventh hour for some students.  Hope I have a 100% participation rate. I'm excited to see what 5th graders can do!
Have a great day!
Mrs Cardinal
