Dear 5th graders,
I've enjoyed discussing integrity this month. We started off with a great assembly where we "wowed" the school with our performance abilities. We've talked about doing the right thing when no one is watching, doing our best, and not spreading gossip and rumors. I really hope every single one of you takes these lessons to heart. It takes one little mess up, one minor infraction to hurt your integrity and it takes many, many acts of integrity to hopefully earn it back. Our Honor Code at the Air Force Academy was, "I will not lie, cheat or steal, nor tolerate anyone who does." Can you say that is your personal code? You don't have to belong to the military to have a commitment to show integrity every single day.
We are at the end of the third quarter. Only one more to go and you will be 6th graders...middle school! That's huge! So...in celebration, know that my commitment to you is to prepare you for what lies ahead. Are you ready? You can do it! No more whining, kapiche? You courageous climbers rock!
Love, Mrs Cardinal
